This deck of cards contains a total of
81 cards whose faces each contain a
unique picture made up of 4 attributes.
These attributes are:
COLOR (black, red, gold)
# OF SHAPES (1, 2, 3)
SIZE OF SHAPES (small, medium, large)
PATTERN (solid, striped, outlined)

The purpose of the game is to identify
‘set’s of 3 cards. A ‘set’ is made up
of 3 cards which satisfy the condition
that for each of the 4 attributes,
the 3 cards are all the same or all
different. For example, 3 cards which
are all black, all have 3 shapes, are
all striped, and represent the 3
different sizes (s,m,l) would be a
valid set. For any 2 cards in the
deck, there is exactly 1 other card
that can combine with them to make
a set.

HOW TO PLAY

Start by shuffling the deck, then
la down 12 cards face up in a 3x4
grid. Identify sets then pick them
up and discard them if you are
playing alone and collect them if
you are playing with a group (in
group play, the person who has
collected the most sets when the
deck has run out is the ‘winner’.
If, after enough time, everybody
decides that there is no set to
be found, then 3 more cards may be
drawn face up making a total of 15
cards. In the unlikely event that
a set stil can’t be found, 3 more
cards may be drawn face up (making
a total of 18 cards). When a set
is found in these special cases,
no additional cards should be drawn.
